Its been years since I installed it, and I'm well aware they could have fixed a lot of that, but my faith that i can enjoy this game is seriously challenged by thier software. Its a client in the sense it calls you too much, takes you away from your playing so you can browse DLC and marketing. Uplay isn't a client in the sense that it provides a game spac for you. It was clunky, it would disconnect me and kick me out of games, I remember for HoMM6 if you lost connection to uplay mid battle it would kick you out and not save.
I got a couple Uplay games in the past, and I simply choose to not buy their games until uplay goes away. Seriously? Assassin's Creed is a Ubisoft game (Uplay) If I had purchased directly off uplay, would I still have needed both clients? This is kind of a dumb requirement.
Is there no way to just run uplay or just steam to save on resources? Originally posted by Zathras:So I bought this here on steam and now I need both steam and uplay open to play.
